Job tasks

Waiter, waitress
- serves hotel guests with Food & Beverages
- works in international team
- must have previous experience and know different types of services (plate service, silver service, banquets, self-service)
- must be flexible with the time schedule (split shifts)

Barkeeper
- works in a hotel bar or independent bars
- must be experienced and able to work alone behind the bar
- good knowledge of cocktail mixing is a must
- must be able to express him/herself and feel comfortable when speaking with people he/she doesn’t know

Receptionist
- works at the hotel reception
- must have previous experience in the hotel industry and good knowledge of computers
- has to be able to supervise a group of people
- should be flexible with the time schedule (split shifts)
- must be able to express him/herself and feel comfortable when speaking with people he/she doesn’t know

Chambermaid
- works in a hotel, cleans hotel rooms and other areas
- must be able to work in a group of people and flexible with the time schedule (split  shifts)

Helping staff in the kitchen
- works in a kitchen (cleaning, tidying, washing dishes...)
- must be able to work in a group of people and flexible with the time schedule (split shifts)

Cook
- works in a hotel or restaurant  kitchen
- has to be able to prepare dishes (starters, salads, main courses, soups, sauces) for an European / International Cuisine
- must have previous cooking experience in hotels or good restaurants
- should be co-operative and be able to work with a team of people
- must know and practice good hygiene in the kitchen

Technician e.g.(electrician)
- has to be able to prepare and execute any electrical installation and to maintain and repair such installations
- should be co-operative and be able to work with a team of people
- must be flexible with the time schedule (split shifts)

Gardener
- knowledge of plant treatment, grass watering and spraying is a must
- should be co-operative and be able to work with a team of people
- must be flexible with the time schedule (split shifts)

Age
18 – 40 years

Languages
Good or fluent English, depending on position. Knowledge of other languages (German, Russian, French, ...), is an advantage.

Salary (depending on hotel and previous experience)
500 – 600 EUR nett monthly – chambermaid
550 – 600 EUR nett monthly – helping staff in the kitchen
550 – 700 EUR nett monthly – technician (electrician, plumber carpenter etc.)
500 – 650 EUR nett monthly – gardener
550 – 600 EUR nett monthly – waiter, waitress
550 – 650 EUR nett monthly – bartender
600 – 700 EUR nett monthly – receptionist
600 – 1000 EUR nett monthly – cook

Length of stay
3 - 12 months

Working hours
8-10 hours a day, 6 days a week, one day off.

Accommodation and board
Free accommodation and full board is normally provided by the hotel. Accommodation might be provided in the hotel or in apartments near the hotel. In case there is no board or accommodation provided by the hotel, the monthly salary is approximately 150 – 200 EUR higher.

Insurance
Medical and accident insurance is provided for the time at work by the employer.

Job placement
Hotels managers select their future employees from CV’s provided. Every selected candidate will sign a work contract with the hotel after arrival in Cyprus. It’s not always possible to guarantee the placement of couples or groups of more people to the same hotel.

Flight ticket
Flight ticket is booked individually by every employee. Our agency can advise you where to find cheap flight tickets on the internet.
